Website Chemistry – Contact Information

This last year, our friends at Church Marketing Sucks wrote about tips and ideas for your website in a series titled Website 101In an effort to compliment their already thorough evaluation, we are beginning a series titled Website Chemistry, the Necessary Elements of a Website.

Transient

This is part one of the five part series, title Contact Information

You likely use your website to portray your church, its ministries, events and outreaches, and other relevant information and happenings. With that in mind, it is crucial that your audience is able to find your contact information with ease.

Tammy Barbee of New Coach Connection focuses on two important reasons to have your contact information readily available on your website:

1. People can contact you by various means such as sending you an email, sending you physical mail, or even call your company by telephone.

2. Since the majority of us have mobile phones with Internet capability, we can be able to grab the phone number listed on the website and store that number in our contacts making it easier to reach the company (or in your case, church/ministry) when needed.

One of the primary focuses of your audience when visiting your site will be to find information to connect with you. “Make sure that your contact information is clearly visible on every page of your site. This will make it simple for current members and non-members alike to know how to reach you if they have any questions about services, events, ministries, etc.

Your website is an amazing tool for connecting with and evangelizing the message of your church, just make sure that your information is easy to find and easy to understand. When it comes to the contact information on your website, it must be simple and findable.
