At the end of the week you may be wondering, was I successful? Was this week successful? This idea of success, although different for each individual and context, is of similar desire and cognitive pursuit throughout our society. Even though we’re different and define success differently, we all seek success in some form, on some level.
On this Friday, maybe after a long week, remember this:
Success is Defined in the moment:
Too often our society – myself included – is so focused on pursuing that we forget to reflect. We desire so much of what can be that we forget what is. Success often falls into this concept. Remember, success is defined in the moment, not in the past or future.
Success is Struggled toward:
Success – most likely – isn’t a scenic, relaxing, and comfortable journey. It’s a struggle, a grind, and enduring. It’s something that is simply struggled toward.
Success is not a destination, it’s a dedication:
Finally, remember that success is not a destination, it’s a dedication. Success finds those who are willing to give, sacrifice, commit, and endure, week-by-week, year-by-year.
On this Friday, maybe after a long week, be comforted in the fact that success is defined in the moment, struggled toward, and not a destination, but a dedication. Friday marks the end of the week; but also a chance to rejuvenate, recover, and recommit. May your weekend be wonderful, and may this coming Monday find you once again successful!
